If you are the owners of the UK’s leading bingo operator, the prospect of closing the club for even a day is unthinkable. But most bingo halls are in old buildings and that means there’s a strong chance of evident asbestos in the building’s structure. This was a dilemma that Gala Bingo faced with asbestos in the roof area of a Grade II listed building.

Our team went in after close of business one night, erecting a bespoke steel structure enclosed with a dustproof, hygienic screen to protect the bingo hall from any contamination or debris. This meant the asbestos removal work had absolutely no effect on Gala’s daily operations and the bingo-goers pleasure.

When the work was complete the Chadbourn team removed the tower, leaving the area so clean and tidy, they hardly knew we’d been there.
