Bovis Lend Lease contacted Chadbourn after locating their services on the Internet. They were looking for a company that could provide a weather resistant screen for the Scottish Parliament Building in Edinburgh.

The screens were to protect 6 floors of office space from the frequently severe weather conditions. The interior of the new offices where being fitted out with utilities and interior décor was about to commence. Access was to be maintained on all floors, with each floor being fitted with single and double doorways.

Chadbourn immediately set about the project by consulting with structural engineers to ensure that the correct strength screen was to be installed with the wind load considerations. The height of the building was 21 metres and the wind load could reach speeds of 50 m/sec. This all had to be taken into account.

Once the contract commenced, Chadbourn installation engineers worked with their usual enthusiasm and speed, finishing the job in just over two weeks and ensuring that it was up to their excellent safety standards.

The quality of the completed screen was exceptional. The company were especially impressive with their attention to detail. The appearance and neatness of the screen was outstanding, we could not fault it.
